Project description
NETPING is looking for qualified freelance onsite IT engineers to provide regional backfill support for an IT project at multiple locations across the Netherlands.
The engineers will temporarily replace or support existing onsite IT personnel and provide onsite IT services according to the client’s operational requirements, procedures and service standards.
This is regional coverage and not one fixed work location. Engineers may be required to travel between locations within their assigned region.
Service model:
• Dedicated onsite backfill support during the agreed assignment period
• Support during the working hours of the assigned site
• Work delivered by approved freelance engineers
• The engineer will act as an extension of the existing onsite support team
• Travel between nearby project locations may be required
Main responsibilities:
• Onsite IT incident investigation and troubleshooting
• Deskside and end-user support
• Hands and eyes assistance for remote technical teams
• Hardware deployment, installation and device replacement
• Support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and peripherals
• Workplace IT infrastructure support
• Daily operational support normally handled by the replaced engineer
• Travel to nearby project locations when required
• Compliance with operational, security and safety procedures
Onboarding and compliance:
The assignment may require background checks, onboarding, access authorization, partner approval, and knowledge transfer. The engineer must complete all required onboarding and access procedures before starting work.
Engineer requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of onsite IT support experience
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments
• Knowledge of workplace IT infrastructure, hardware and end-user support
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned region
• English and local-language communication skills
• Compliance with operational, security and safety requirements
Expected workload:
The total estimated project volume is more than 200 service days per year across all locations. The actual workload offered to each engineer depends on the selected region, project requirements and availability.
